This one's about the Sony PDX-10 camcorder. Though it's not exactly new, it's often overlooked. As the entry level camcorder in Sony's Pro line, it has some real strengths, and is one of the least expensive "pro-sumer" 3CCD units on the market.

I've recently acquired a new shotgun microphone, the Rode NTG-1. After searching around a bit, it seems this gadget is hard to beat for the price. The episode is actually recorded with the Rode, and presented in the glorious highly compressed mp3 format for your enjoyment.
